Our British Style Slip Lead (sometimes called English Style or just plain Slip Lead) is a leash and collar combined in one lead. These leads are very popular with agility trainers, dog handlers and average dog owners. They slip on and off easily and allow for precise touch control.

There are no small parts like clips, connectors or collar clasps that can break and allow the dog to become loose or run away. And, its simple design and the ease in which it can be placed on and taken off the dog, make it the perfect lead for our clients who suffer from arthritis.

Our British Style Slip Lead is made of polypropylene – a superior choice for a lead of this type.  Unlike cotton, nylon or metal, polypropylene:

• Won’t shrink or fade from repeated washing
• Has UV protection built in
• Is soft to the touch and won’t scratch floors
• Does not become heavy when wet
• Doesn’t pose a risk to your pet like metal cords and extension devices or retractable lead

Always keep your dog’s safety in mind when using any lead or collar and giving corrections. Slip leads should never be used in a crate or with dogs that have delicate tracheas, such as Yorkshire Terriers. Ask a local professional if you are not familiar with how to use this lead.

The British Style Slip Lead can be used for:

1. An Every Day Lead
Use it to take your dog for his or her daily walks. The quick on and off feature of this lead make it perfect for when you want to move the dog from one location to another.

2. Training
As a training tool, it allows the dog feel the pressure when walking too far off the heel position. Our clients also keep the lead on puppies in the event quick corrections are required.
